At Learn Japanese With Anime, structured language teaching is offered through the use of popular anime! You will hear different anime characters say what you're just learning in class (Hearing multiple native speakers helps you with your listening skills, as opposed to hearing only your teacher or a CD). Anime is also used visually to enhance the learning. Start understanding anime in Japanese without subtitles from the very first class!!
Small Class Size
Each class is limited to 9 students to allow the teacher to see each student's progress and the students to get more attention & participation. You will get plenty of practice through interacting with anime, your native teacher and your classmates.
Typing Japanese
There are 9 student computers (one for each student) so you can practice "typing" Japanese characters. You will learn how to type Japanese from day 1!! (You will also learn to hand write Hiragana and Katakana. See About Studying Characters.)
Speak your own thoughts!!
Unlike a lot of other classes/textbooks, where you learn certain phrases in certain situations and replace a word or two in them, Learn Japanese With Anime teaches you to SPEAK YOUR OWN THOUGHTS!! This is done by learning the "structure" of the language as you build your vocabulary.
Cultural Study
Present day Japanese culture, as well as traditional culture, is taught as seen in anime. You also play some Japanese games in class for enhancing the learning and to test your understanding.
Sushi Party
At the end of each course, there will be an optional sushi party where you will "MAKE" your own sushi!! And of course you're welcome to just "Eat", if you don't want to do the work!!
