LearnJapaneseWithAnime helped me in more ways than one. I’ve always wanted to learn the Japanese language and before I started LJWA, I used just about every educational Japanese book on the planet. I learned how to say phrases and common words like Ogenki desu ka “How are you” and Ohayou Gozaimasu “Good Morning” but I never felt like I knew the language. LearnJapaneseWithAnime doesn’t just teach phrases but it teaches you how to build sentences on your own! You never truly appreciate a class like this until you approach a native speaker with Ohayou Gozaimasu or Ogenki desu ka and they reply in pure Japanese lol.
Thanks to LearnJapaneseWithAnime I’m not only fluent in speaking but writing as well. You may think Japanese Characters are hard but somehow LJWA teaches it in way that you just can’t forget. Plus the teacher is Japanese so he teaches things that only a native would know. LJWA taught me how to speak my thoughs in Japanese and for that I’m extremely grateful!

I stumbled on Daisuke's class completely out of chance. I thought to myself, "why not, I always wanted to learn another language, and this might be fun!" Well, I was not disappointed!
Learn Japanese with Anime opened up so many doors for me in not only learning Japanese, but appreciating a new culture, as well. In just one class, I felt I learned more about this magnificent language than any other language course I had taken in the past. Daisuke has a unique talent for teaching and knows how to really reach his students; with fun. Every time I left his class, I always so good about myself because not only had I accomplished learning an entirely different language, but I had a great time doing it!

I
always wanted to learn Japanese, so I started teaching myself from
different books. I thought I knew a lot until I spoke to a native
speaker. Native Japanese and the formal Japanese taught in books are
like two entirely different languages.
Learn
Japanese With Anime taught me the natural way to speak the language.
Unlike most books that just teach you phrases, the class taught me
how to make my own sentences. When you know how to do that, the
language becomes a lot easier. Daisuke is also a really good teacher.
His teaching style helped me quickly learn some of the most difficult
parts of the language. I even learned how to fluently write katakana,
hiragana, and some kanji! LJWA is a really great class and I don't
think I would have learned as much as I did from any other source. In
the end it's awesome to be able to sit down with your favorite anime
and pick up on just about everything without subtitles. Being able to
talk to native speakers is also an amazing experience.
どうもありがとう!!

My first encounter with Learn Japanese with Anime was a splendid surprise. My
older brother (Onii-chan) and atashi (I) were at the Bizarre Bazaar
when we found LJWA and Daisuke and it
went on from there. I've been hung up on Japan and Japanese Culture for
years, so this was a God-send! I was ecstatic when my Onii-chan said
he'd pay for the 1st course! (I'm ALWAYS broke....) I remember the
first day I came to class... I late (of course) I kind of embarrassed
because I still had my school stuff, stating to everyone that I was the
youngest, but there was really friendly atmosphere and no one treated me
like a child and took me seriously. It had been a while since I last
saw such communion among strangers. I learned a lot from Daisuke and
the people in the class. About how hard it is to say "You're welcome"
and about Blueberry Bubblegum. Honestly, I think this one of the
greatest I've ever done. (For real) I'm going to try my best to get
back soon.
Best Wishes, Jenny Jones
One of life's greatest joys is understanding. I can say that it has
been a great joy to attend Daisuke's "Learn Japanese with Anime"
classes. These classes not only teach you the basics of the language,
but also the structure and in-depth meaning behind it. Now instead of
"parrotting' phrases from a book, I truly understand the words of how
they are spoken and written. Daisuke has taken the mystery out of the
Japanese language and I for one will continue to learn as much as I can
from him in the future!
